Puzzles are short and redundant.
Not better than expected but somewhat disappointing because too short, and not enough of a challenge

50% of puzzling are not challenging, and are too short.
Print layout on puzzles is good but I find the miniaturized print used on the ANSWERS pages very disappointing.
Also, the first 150 puzzles of the 300 total are in fact small puzzles much enlarged in print size, and even so enlarged but still leave lots of white space. For an eager and perennial crossword solver like myself, these 150 are also far too easy to solve and are repetitive in clues/terms. Therefore, I think the book skimps on value, and puts the value into good paper and ink.

Because the puzzles are hard enough to be challenging even for a regular word fiend.
