This book will help u to know the Lord more Intimately
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It has been awhile since I have read this book, but I do remember how great an impact it had on me then and still does today. Nori says this is an allegory, however I think it is a reality in his life. This book helped me to grow in my intimacy with the Lord. It deals with the inner battles of the mind, satan who is always there to remind you of your past and your weaknesses. But Christ is drawing, teaching you that He is always there to strengthen and defend you.
If you embrace this story and live it along with the author, it will bring you into a new and closer relationship with the Lord. Nori uses the analogy of crossing a raging river to come into our promised land. We resist the torrents in our lives and fear try's to keep us back, but as you step into the deep water to the place your feet no longer touch, and it only seems the waters will overtake you. I tried to swim against the currents myself but I learned all I needed to do was roll over float(rest) and allow the Lord to bring me to the other side. It may nor be the path I planned, but eventually you will get to the other side. This book will teach you to quit fighting and resisting God and to trust Him. God loves us.
