A smart but gentle film about the nature of belief
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Incorporating key details of an historic event -- when two young girls provided photographs of what they said were real fairies that they had seen in their garden -- the movies explores what makes people believe in improbable things.
Set amid the horrors of World War I -- with gassed and crippled soldiers everywhere -- the movie makes the case that sometimes what seems like naivite is simply hope.
And, as Harry Houdini says in the film, if you can give hope to people, then they don't care if it's a trick.
