An encyclopedia of Josephy Murphy's collected wisdom
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I was familiar with Joseph Murphy's book, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, as it is his most famous work. The beauty of this thick volume (over 900 pages) is it collects every title Murphy wrote and published between 1945 and 1963. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first volume that collects all his writing. Tarcher-Penguin is to be commended to compiling all of Murphy's writings into this book.
There is a great deal of biblical-based wisdom here. Murphy, after all, was a minister. However, he has unique interpretations on specific scriptural passages that go beyond the conventional beliefs. By that I mean he helps you see a deeper meaning to many scriptural passages. These are not sermons, however. He simply quotes biblical scripture more frequently than, say, Napoleon Hill, who wrote in a more secular vein.
It is essential to better understand the human brain, how the mind functions in general and how your mind functions in particular if one's life is to improve. Murphy helps you to do that, and cites many personal meetings with people over the years and how their lives were changed that support the topics he is writing about.
The Miracle Power of Your Mind is a must-have in anyone's library for those interested in continual lifelong learning.
