Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Jan Brett
If you have not discovered the author/illustrator, Jan Brett, you are in for a treat. Each page is filled with exquisite
illustrations, including those in the margins. The detail is incredible. In this version of Goldilocks, the characters are dressed in elaborate Russian clothing. Jan Brett obviously does a lot of research before she "fleshes out" her characters and the result is stunning. Jan Brett's books don't wind up in a garage sale as your children grow, her books are lovingly stored and treasured to be handed down to the next generation. Be certain to look for Jan Brett's other books.

Great illustrations.
I bought this book because of the illustrator. Can't say the content is compelling unless you are into nursery rhymes.
Love the illustrations. This book is a real treasure to me.
