Beautiful edition, even more beautiful story
The three volumes in this adition amount up to more than 1,500 pages, but halfway through the first volume, already I felt like I did not want the story to end. Tolstoy writes beautifully and the depiction of life in 19th century Russia is incredibly rich and vivid. Reading this book is a massive undertaking, but if you've got the time/could make the time for it, go for it!
