Widescreen = Top and bottom of picture frame was deleted
Luckily I have older digital recordings, because the DVD version deletes 20% of the picture to make it "Widescreen" ( about 10% chopped off top AND bottom). It should be should be a crime to hack such a great movie. I don't know if there are any older DVD's available that have the original, non-chopped picture, but it might be worth a try to look for one before buying this version.

Works Fine -- Good Value
I used this to string HDMI cables across the room from my Laptop to my HDTV, and it works fine. Both Display and Sound are transmitted through HDMI to my TV, so now I have second 55" PC Monitor at my disposal. The quality is good and looks identical to other adapters that cost much more.

Love 5:4 Aspect Ratio
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich 5:4 suits my eye so much better than 16:9 Wide Screen (I am thinking about buying a couple -- they may soon be extinct). To get the same 12" viewing height, you would need 24.5" Wide Screen that takes up a lot of space, and with the 1908 it is more practical to have Dual Monitor setup -- better than 1 big Wide Screen.
