Confusing
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich Just over half way through and I don't really understand what is going on. To me it just seems like a collection of stories, with a vague connection, rambling along with no obvious plot. I rarely give up on a book, especially as this is one that I am reading in a Book Club, but really I've come to a point where enough is enough, and it's one for the charity bag. Can't recommend on any level.

Hard hitting British Movie
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This is truly great film. Focusing on the frustrations of modern life, that many of us encounter every single day. Drawing from factual events and genuine circumstances. The sad thing is that this is Britain today, this is "the system" in a developed nation, one of the richest economies in the world. We STILL treat the under privileged, in this case the working man, albeit a man unable to work due to ill health in a disgraceful manner.
In many ways we should be ashamed of ourselves. Don't expect to come away from this movie feeling good, but do expect to feel emotion, real emotion. Be prepared to weep.

Toast of London
Brilliantly funny, excellent cast. I enjoyed every episode and some are even better watched second time around. If you like British comedy you'll love this.
