This is indeed a fisheye lens… looks very goofy in the BEST way possible. It can be difficult to turn the focus/aperture rings because they take up most of the sides of the lens. But otherwise great!

Awesome lens! Generates almost identical...
Awesome lens! Generates almost identical image quality to my Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 (and surprisingly lighter, too). Even though it’s variable aperture (4.5 to 6.3) it works great for outdoors and wildlife shooting.
It zooms in a TON. Works great on my ZV-E10.

Perfect for video creators, seasoned or not
It’s quite hard to go wrong with this camera. It produces AMAZING quality images (especially with a lens with great aperture) that you can make anything cinematic with. It is super small, inconspicuous, and lightweight, yet holds so much power. It even has Picture Profiles, such as S-log2, S-log3 and HLG3, making color grading that much easier (it’s recommended to use HLG3 because of the 8-bit sensor). The flip-out screen is ultra-convenient when you don’t have an external monitor. There are only a couple gripes I have for this price point:
- Rolling shutter is very visible when moving quickly
- Active Stabilization makes image somewhat blurry (though you can disable it; I use a gimbal anyways)
- Burns through batteries in less than an hour (at 4K 24fps)
Other than those factors, brilliant camera! I’m very happy with my purchase, Sony :)
