The Gen X-1 came well packaged, in a normal box with a quick start guide. It all works, although the sound strip can be a little tricky to use. I've only had a quick play with it but it is already amazing the range of sounds that are available from the Gen X-1. I cannot wait to learn some songs and explore what I can do with this little synthesizer!

Lightweight, solidly built hamstick type antenna.
The AMPRO-20 from Sigma-4-antennas (I believe Moonraker make a similar product). Is a solidly build, lightweight antenna that does exactly what it's supposed to. It doesn't beat my homebrew delta loop, but the loop isn't portable, this is.
When working portable it's quick and easy to erect (or disassemble), making it well suited to casual working from a car for that odd occasion you have free to play.
There are two grub screws holding the whip section in place, so the whip is firmly held. Also, as the loaded section is hollow most of the whip can be dropped down in to the tube for storage, which I'm finding is a useful feature.

Cheap way of getting on 4m (70Mhz).
The Tait T2015II is a basic 4m rig and covers the entire FM part of the band (once programmed), easy to tune. It, also has a couple of memories so you can go straight to the calling channel. It has a squelch function which you can turn off if you want to. It's solidly built as you'd expect from a PMR rig. It's a cheap way of getting on 4m if you're on a budget.
