Facing the denial of having an autistic child
I am a health care professional who devours everything I can about autistic children. I admire the humor and sarcastic wit the author protrays throughout the book, making it an enjoyable read. It turns out however, a little to my disappointment, that the book is really about the mother of the autistic child. The focus turns to how this disability ends her marriage, leaves her in poor physical and emotional health, etc. I bought it hoping to hear Daniel's challenges and triumphs, which is touched upon, but overall not the books focus.
