AutoCad LT 2002
LT is the "light" version of AutoCAD. The main difference, is that it doesn't allow for 3D modeling. If you only need 2D modeling capability, it is a very viable alternative to the much more expensive full version of AutoCAD 2002. I've used both AutoCAD 2002 and AutoCAD 2002, and for the most part, they are a very effective way to add some power to your drafting, especially when you combine it with a lower-cost 3D modeling solution, of which there are many. I don't have to do much 3D design anymore, but when I do, I use CorelCAD.
Install was pretty easy and although I have previous experience with AutoCAD, the layout is simple enough where first-timers can jump right in fairly quickly with minimal experience.
I started out doing some simple designs of my office's data flow, and drafted some plans of our office structure. Doing a data flow diagram, I tend to use the copy function a lot. AutoCAD 2002 has a lot more features and copy options now that made this much easier to accomplish, including cleanup tools like the ability to merge duplicate objects and removed nested objects that share the same geometry, which it will recognize as unnecessary. Some of my diagrams can get fairly complicated and squashed together, so this is definitely a plus and made things easier. I will upload a copy of the diagram I was able to complete in the customer images section.
Overall, I think that AutoCAD may be following in Adobe's footsteps and starting to create "bloatware" by trying to add too many features and visual aspects, like unnecessary toolbars to their products, so I hope it doesn't continue with AutoCAD 2017. But if you're looking for a budget 2D drafting option and still want the option to exchange formats with those using the full CAD software, AutoCAD 2002 is the way to go.

Crossfire V7900's for our HP workstations
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich We purchased this 12 of these cards for our 6 HP Z620 workstations to run in crossfire. They replaced our V7800's that have worked great for us the last 4 years. The FirePro V7900 is a Professional Graphics card and it currently supports four 24-inch monitors simultaneously (display port connection).
The current applications supported are Digital Media and Web Development (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Flash, etc.), In addition to productivity applications for research and report writing (Microsoft Office). The FirePro V7900 has performed solidly, quietly, and cooler thus requiring less chassis fan operation. The advantage here is the reduction of noise in the work environment as well as consistent performance at the PROFESSIONAL WORKSTATION LEVEL. Professional workstation applications consist of 1.) digital content creation such as animation, game development, broadcast and cinematic visual effects, and digital publishing. 2.) Engineering applications include CAD/CAM/MCAD, AEC (architecture/engineering/construction), Medical Imaging and Life Sciences, Computerized Fluid Dynamics, Simulation, GIS and Mapping, oil and gas applications.
For the applications this unit is designed for (see above), the performances are unmistakably superior, reliable and meets the category requirements of a professional graphics workstation card. I am planning to add an additional 4 (24-inch) monitors and another V7900 for a total of 8 monitors simultaneously. This will enable me to develop, debug, and test using separate monitors as well as edit graphics or digital web content and refresh to immediately see results. Documentation can be achieved on the on the other monitors with accompanying screen shots captured from the other subset of monitors in this type of configuration.
