The Indiana Jones series is pretty much what summer movies are about
The series is full of satire, action, stories revolving around the greatest treasures of mankind, with excellent period costumes and sets. The cast members are hard not to like, even the antagonists. The fourth installment seems out of place, but this is Harrison Ford at his best.
I wish there were more movies like these... It made going to the theater such fun. I will always remember the time my brother and I would watch the last showing in our city. Back in the day, we had an old-timey movie theater with a massive screen, easily 100 feet wide or more. Both of us sitting in the center of the front row with a huge popcorn and soda.

A fun movie for kids of all ages.
Although this movie is targeted for kids, there are subtle messages for adults and perhaps, humans overall (as a species).
The story entertains on many levels. The voice-overs are perfect, the characters are quirky, and the animation is superb. I hope a Happy Feet Three is in the works to complete the series.

Milla Jovovich is the only reason this franchise continues
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich Resident Evil: Retribution is pretty brainless and has an implausible plot-line. You can expect any Paul W.S. Anderson film with zombies to play out like a video game.
One can find entertainment on different levels with this movie. For example, I spent most of my attention trying to figure out how Milla Jovovich can look so cute with bobbed hair. She can certainly rock her S&M outfit and feline figure. Her doe eyes and gorgeous face are easy to look at, so there's that too.
Easily, the most glaring hole in the thin plot-line is our rag-tag group of protagonists go into a secret Russian underground facility (which supposedly uses holographic projections). So my question is - Why shoot at holographic zombies instead of just blowing the damn place up? There's also a thinly veiled Aliens homage with Alice saving her cocooned daughter and then blowing up replicas of herself with a grenade satchel that is (unintentionally) comical.
I'll give the editors some credit (unlike Peter Jackson) ... Under 100 minutes for a fantasy film with an implausible plot-line shows some respect to the audience.
