Great machine! It's the second Dell D series laptop I've had and is a real workhorse, just like my d600 was. It's a bit heavy to tote around all day but that's what my Asus netbook is for. The D620 is solidly built and easy to use. It's a good size to let typing in bed be comfortable, but has a large enough screen so I don't have to scroll up and down all the time. Mine came with Win 7 installed, and with the upgrade to 4gb ram handles everything I could possibly want, quickly. I do a lot of writing and also use Photoshop often. The d620 is perfect for that, as well as surfing the internet to my heart's content. I don't do any gaming so I can't comment on it's capabilities there, but upon occasion I use it to play an episode of TV and it performs well. The 4 usb ports give room to plug in accessories and it's dvd burner makes creating media easy. I bought my d620 on Ebay for around $300. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? :)
Ordered about a dozen and a half one ounce pks to get a good sampling of their products. All arrived very quickly and well packed. The natural wools were well combed, extremely clean, and exactly as described. The colors of the dyed Corriedale wools were vibrant and very lovely to work. I will be using most of it for felting, but I can certainly see that it would work up into beautiful yarn too. I will certainly return for more!
French Girl Knits : Innovative Techniques, Romantic Details and Feminine Designs

A Better title than content.
Not to say that the content was bad, but most of the styles really didn't have the wow factor I had hoped to see. There were a couple that I would make as is for either myself or my daughter, and there were a number of interesting details that I would certainly incorporate into other knitting projects. I bought the book used, so the discounted price made the purchase worthwhile, but I would not recommend purchasing it at full price at all. Intermediate knitters could probably look at the pictures and figure most of it out on their own. If I had to grade the styles, I would say B minus. Definitely no o-o-la-la here. Overall the book was easy to follow, with nice photography, and good diagrams. On presentation I would give it a B+.
