Worth the money.
Great reproduction. Even better than portrayed. Great addition to my collection of Nam era material.

Excellent high quality reproduction of the originals.
Cards are high quality and look like some of the originals distributed by Psyops, and painted on the sides of M54s during the Vietnam war.

Excellent writing and additional detail makes this book better than the movie.
I really enjoyed reading this book and found the writing to be interesting and accurately depicts the horrors of war. Having served in another war myself, it brought back some powerful memories. I've watched the movie no less than five times and found the additional details in the book added much to the story.
One minor exception is the frequent use of the word "foobar" by the writer and apparently missed by the editors––or possibly, intentionally––that is a tiny distraction. The correct spelling is "FUBAR" which is an acronym for a person's physical or mental condition frequently used in the military.
The other not so minor issue is the author, on a couple of occasions, describes the red and blue colors with the double AA as the patch of 101st Airborne Division. It is true the unit is the 101st, but the red and blue double AAs is the patch of the 82nd Airborne Division. The 101st patch is black, white, and gold, with an Eagle's head, hence the moniker "Screaming Eagles." The author or editor should have researched more. Any Army vet should be able to recognize this error immediately.
