Reliable, solidly built, easy to use and represents super value for money
The D200 is IMO the best of the prosumer DSLRs of its period. If pixel rating is not an issue, ie you are not concerned about generating high res images, then this represents a superb budget buy as a keen photographer investment. I have had these cameras for several years. I take images professionally for the international image library market, magazines and paid for portraits and provided you use the best lenses you can get your hands on, these cameras are as reliable as a metronome.

I am a diver and having done alot a research into budget options for cameras with video, I opted for this model. Having looked at alot of the latest compact waterproof cameras, this one came out still better (even though it is around 5-6 years) for options and technology available. The video quality (using a compatible housing) is excellent. A compact pro-sumer camera. One that any keen photographer should have as a reliable backup. It has sufficient weight and solidity for it to feel you have a camera packed with quality. Easy to use controls, packed with technology, ergonomic design, just a joy to have and to hold.
