Gates kit
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich I was surprised and not very happy to find that 3, technically 4 parts in the kit were not made in Japan. Gates has a long standing, with using oem or Japan sourced parts. The box has a list of places the parts are sourced from., but not on website. The belt is made in the US. Great! I received only one (1) idler pulley made in Japan. The other two are made in China, as well as the water pump. My tensioner was made in Canada. Needless to say I'm very disappointed and will probably part together the kit next time. Gates belt itself is great, but their out source parts are not. I now need to spend more money buying the right pulleys, and will take the chance with the tensioner from Canada. It looks sturdy enough. Probably won't change out water pump. Did lots of research and hear that they're pretty much bullet proof. Needless to say, buy the belt, not the kit. Part it together, or bite the bullet and buy oem.
