A very good early introduction to a still-important aircraft
This book,despite its age, is still an excellent introduction to the F/A-18, an aircraft that still dominates (as the Super Hornet and Growler) the flight decks of America's supercarriers. Further, whilst I believe any book in this series worth reading, those by Bill Gunston are doubly so, and this one is no exception; it is intelligently written and well illustrated and I would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful book on a beautiful ship
This is a beautiful book, whose large format and double-page spreads do justice to the stunning interiors of this magnificent ship. It is not, however, simply a collection of pictures, and includes considerable essays on the Normandie and on the French Line that ran her. Highly recommended

Excellent level of research
This book offers very thorough coverage of the air campaign of this now largely forgotten conflict, with a wealth of visual material to further illustrate this tragic episode of African politics.
