Modern Combat Aircraft: F/A-18 Hornet HB Bill Gunston

A very good early introduction to a still-important aircraft

This book,despite its age, is still an excellent introduction to the F/A-18, an aircraft that still dominates (as the Super Hornet and Growler) the flight decks of America's supercarriers. Further, whilst I believe any book in this series worth reading, those by Bill Gunston are doubly so, and this one is no exception; it is intelligently written and well illustrated and I would definitely recommend it.

These really are the best naval miniatures.

GHQ micronauts are, as the company's tagline proclaims, the best naval miniatures you can get - or, at least, that I've ever come across. The level of detail achieved at 1/2400 is stunning, and these miniatures are good enough to use as display models, not just as wargaming pieces. I recommend them very highly. Also very happy with Noble Knight games, for their prompt and efficient service.

Beautiful book on a beautiful ship

This is a beautiful book, whose large format and double-page spreads do justice to the stunning interiors of this magnificent ship. It is not, however, simply a collection of pictures, and includes considerable essays on the Normandie and on the French Line that ran her. Highly recommended
