My favorite hair grooming product.
Love this product!
I have used it for several years. Defines curls and doesn't leave them stiff or sticky. Easy to pack (although it's still a liquid) I just wish the product were less expensive.

Love this book!
I love this book! I had seen the movie first, and wanted to read the book. I've been recommending it to friends since then. Very moving, beautifully written and fascinating.

Pimsleur French III
I recently purchased Pimsleur French III, because I really enjoy the Pimsleur approach. I had studied French in junior high, high school and college, but at age 63, I definitely was ready for some kind of course to upgrade my French. My husband and I had visited France occasionally over the past decades, but when we bought an apartment in France a couple of years ago, I decided I needed to really improve my skills.
I started with the basic Pimsleur course which cost about $20 at Barnes and Noble. I went on to order both French I and then French II over the internet.
Each lesson in the course is about a half hour, and I have listened to most of them while driving to and from work or errands. Most of the time, I listen to a lesson a second time. You are advised to only do one lesson day, which suits me fine.
The voices and scenarios are very pleasant, and I have personally been able to use a lot of the information and idioms when we are in France. You have to be ready to talk back to the CD or tape while you are listening, so it probably wouldn't work if you commute by plane or train!
A lot of the information is review for me (albeit from 50 years ago!) but there are a lot of expressions I never learned. However, I don't know how it would be for someone who never studied the language the traditional way first. There is almost no reading in the Pimsleur approach. Each set of lessons comes with a booklet for review, but there is basically no studying and there are no grammar lessons per se. When I hear the voices, I am usually able to visualize what the words look like, though, because of my prior knowledge of French. I can't really imagine how it would work if you had never studied with books. Sometime I may try a Pimsleur course in a language I have never studied.
