Good value rookie card of a hall of famer
Barry Larkin is a hall of famer and famed for his defense and he was also a solid hitter. This is an affordable rookie card of a hall of famer. The wood borders on the 1987 Topps series are stylish as well.

The admiral's rookie card-classy card of a classy player
Good design-simple but classic. I also like that there is decent information on the back and not just statistics. David Robinson was professional and a class act.

Good bargain second year card of Tony Gwynn-a pure hitter
Tony Gwynn is considered the purest hitter since Rod Carew. He is also easily the best Padre of all time. Ted Williams and Tony Gwynn had a shared passion for hitting. Second year cards of hall of famers tend to be much cheaper than rookie cards, so this is a good bargain. Also, I like the design of the 1983 and 1984 Topps cards with the action shot and the closeup of the face.
