Friends are found among the healing wounded
Engaging story of a WWII Scotsman. His wounds repaired but life throws him a twist he isn't aware of. Through the kindness of his fellow hospital ward mates he ultimately finds friendship and the courage to face his future. Eventually becoming aware of his fate he reconciles to accept that pity is no ground for friendship and that human kindness knows no bounds. A rather obscure film well worth the watching. Listen for Ronald Reagan's reference to his hometown of Dixon, IL in the dialogue.

Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool - a once bright star shines again in her final years before she leaves our galaxy!
Gloria Grahame's star shines brightly once again with an excellent portrayal by Annette Bening. Jamie Bell's role as Peter Turner is wonderful and gut wrenching when Peter and Gloria say their last goodbye. In the span of a week I watched this 6 times and will continue to watch it over and over again. Stellar performances all around with a great soundtrack. Get this movie and watch it - you won't be disappointed!

Transitioning from strangers to friends
A very touching story about the healing power of compassion. Three strangers come together at a food stand and over time become friends. Together they overcome other people's prejudices of age, class and stigma. This film is so beautifully told it made me cry!
