Worked in the fashion industry until changing industries 15 years ago. Currently cleaning out my closet plus friends' closets as well as things I have picked up casually rummaging estate sales, vintage markets, and thrift stores. While I have purchased and worn both high and low fashion (looking for quality where it can be found), in this moment, I am primarily interested in only vintage and/or pre-owned clothing for myself. Quality in the luxury market has decreased over the decades, removing details and quality finishes and fabrics - not as they used to be made. Care for the craft, fit and longevity of the item for the good of the customer as well as the planet. I've also dusted off my sewing machine recently and interested in doing my own alterations and mending. Admittedly difficult to part with many of my own well loved pieces but they should be worn and admired rather than hidden in my closet for years to come. I hope someone will appreciate and love them.
