Smooth Ink

The pen just glides over the paper. A pleasure writing. Its a joy owning a Waterman.

Tremendous value for the price

Cannot get better value for the price. I picked it up for approx. $35. The plastic sheath is bad, as really presses on your thumb when you are taking the knive out. So I modified the sheath by melting the left thumb ramp (which is really rounded and digs into your thumb) and angled it making it also a bit wider. I also heated the plastic were you insert the knife making the entrance a bit wider. All the resulted in a more smoother action when taking the knife out and a lot less pressure on you thumb. The retention is still very good. I enjoyed the slight modification which turned the sheath from , so so to quite good. The blade came quite sharp. The knife is the perfect size for long day hikes and camping, with hardly any weight to it. For the price there is no argument.

Waterman ink, what else is there

Ink flows well with no smudging or ink pooling. I always replace spent ink refill with another Waterman refill. My initial purchase was a Waterman pen. They are such a beautiful design why not refill them with quality ink.
