Nice patterns with well written instructions
Several scarf patterns I want to knit. One is done and directions were well written and easy to follow. My only complaint is that the pictures are somewhat blurry.

Good patterns, lousy yarn yardage requirements
Several cute patterns I'd like to make, but very disappointed that the yardage requirements listed are not what is required for the project but rather the size of the particular skein recommended. Worst example of this is the Three-Season Lace Vest that specifies a cone of lace yarn 1736 yds long. Obviously it doesn't take that much yarn, and that hardly seems to fit a one-skein wonder book.

Soft, pretty, quick knit kit
Pretty color, soft yarn, easy to knit up quick on big needles. Pattern book designed for beginners with clear instructions and good diagrams.
