Elvis '68 Comeback Special Deluxe Edition

Not extremely impressed with this comeback special. Depending I suppose on which Elvis you are a fan of, you may enjoy this very much. I am more of a fan of the 70s Elvis, (eg. Aloha from Hawaii) and this struck me as a bit boring and repetitive. The regular special edition release may be less monotonous than this release, which repeats certain song numbers numerous times. The sit down and stand up sessions were good for the most part, as well as the production number "If I Can Dream". The other production numbers I was not impressed with. Seems to me that the only reason to get this deluxe 3-disc edition is if you want to see all the minor detail work of Elvis' special. Too many songs repeat and I just think it wasn't necessary and for the pleasure of watching it could have been set up to flow a little better. I would've appreciated a version in which you see each sit down and stand up songs in sequence, without repeats. But if you are a die hard Elvis fan and trying to get your hands on anything Elvis, you may enjoy this. I just prefer a more watchable concert.
