Incredible Sound Shaping Tool For The Money
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich This thing is awesome. The modulate mode has been perfected from the previous RV-5 algo. It is much smoother, darker, and not as bright. Setting the tone knob at noon really is a great balance without having to tweak all that much. You can still get it plenty bright but it is just so much more balanced than the last model. The other modes sound great as well. I don't really use the room and I don't care too much for the dynamic mode though it may be useful for someone else's playing style. The shimmer is a nice addition but is much too bright and out front in my opinion. It just doesn't sit well in the mix and comes off a little distracting. You have to dial the tone way back to really make it usable and musical. It's kind of either too present or buried.
This may not be a Strymon Big Sky, but all in all, this is a very versatile pedal for the money. The modulate mode is where it really shines. If you can pick it up used for a hundred bucks or so, it is worth every penny.
