A Hot Water Bottle Perfectionist's Review, a beautiful, British hot water bottle.

I researched hot water bottles( HWB's) after the shock of my favourite one finally split after 30 years of usage. After a decent burial in the compost heap, I set to research HWB's online. I read reviews, surveys from newspapers, articles and I examined details and photographs in the adverts. I also looked in the local chemist's, Boots and several others. My old one was ribbed on both sides so I searched for this feature because it keeps the bottle warm for longer. Also, I like running my finger tips up and down the ribbing on my warm HWB, yes I know that might sound weird. But it's a sensual and comforting habit from an English childhood. I also discovered that some bottles are made of plastic!! Why would you? Rubber is what we want! I can see that other hot water bottles are thinner so they won't last long and may be dangerous. Safety is an important issue with some of the cheap inferior imports. I checked and many other bottles are not showing their certification and registered standards whereas this hot water bottle is checked to be at the highest British safety standards. Finally, it has a wonderful little handle which I did not have on my last one. This is a great feature as I have discovered, when I filling the bottle with very hot water. All in all, this is simply the best hot water bottle on the market. And it is also British- let's support our businesses which provide us with the best.
