Exceeds Expectations
I already had the AF-S 70-300mm G VR ED for my full frame Nikon. I wanted to get the AF-P DX model to lighten the load with my AP-C Nikon. I hoped for an equivalent product, but the AF-P version focuses almost scary fast and silent and the images are very sharp on my D7500. It is better than I expected.

Great DSLR Lens
This is a sharp, fast focusing older lens. It works well on my two DX cameras (D7200 & D7500). On a DX body, the 85mm creates a 127mm image. Because it requires an in-camera screw drive, its auto focus will not operate on smaller Nikon DX models like 3xxx and 5xxx. It is an FX lens, so it'll work with Nikon full-frame DSLRs.
