GE Washer Motor for WK5R2100T6WW Does the Trick
The motor is a correct fit for the intended washer (which was ~20 years old). However, some electrical adaptation is required in the main wire harness. Full instructions are provided, and it is not difficult if you have the necessary tools (especially the wrench for motor removal, and proper crimping tool for re-configuring the wire harness and attaching connectors). So, the itemized assessment is:
- Fits and operates all washer functions same as original equipment;
- Seems to have slightly better dynamic control of the motor speed (for instance, spins down faster) than the original motor;
- Has worked without a hitch for a few months, so durability does not appear to be a concern;
- Note: the only difficulty in installation, was that the included start capacitor was too large diameter for the included mounting bracket. I had to improvise using a plumbing strap.
This was definitely the best option at a very good price, and is recommended.
