Just bought my fifth one
These are stable, nice size, good looking. If there's a better brush stand to be had, I haven't seen it.

Nice take-everywhere lens
In my informal tests I found it to be as sharp at all focal lengths except at the longest end as my one prime lens is at its 25mm focal length. Its maximum aperture is one-half stop to a full stop below that of it's much more expensive stablemate. The range it covers (24mm to 120mm equivalent) includes most of the situations anyone reading this is likely to care about, making it great for travel, family photos, and such. Not nearly long enough for birders or spectator sports shooting.
Finally, it doesn't take two men and a goat to carry it around.

A quality lens for nearly any purpose
1 von 6 finden das hilfreich This covers the equivalent of 24 to 120mm focal lengths for 35mm cameras. That covers most situations for most users; perfect for a walkaround camera. Except at the very long end of it's range, it produces very sharp, contrasty images. It also has decent capability in the macro range.
It doesn't have the largest maximum apertures, but there aren't any zooms that I know about that are more than one-half of an f-stop faster.
It's the most used (by far) of the four lenses I carry with me for travel and for family photos.
