Mamoru Hosoda at his finest!
Understandably, at first glance this film might just come off as a "chick flick" or girl romance movie. Its NOT. This film is short, to the point, and clean cut from start to finish. The protagonist, Makoto Konno, is just a young teenager going through high school, going through the motions living it up alongside her two best friends Chiaki Mamiya and Kousuke Tsuda. After she almost dies one day being run over by a train she emerges with time traveling powers, where she learns to abuse it left and right, first for herself and then discovering that her choices, no matter how small, have consequences. Highly recommend.
