Another great Snugpak product
This towel is everything it is claimed to be in quality and ability. The packed size is comparable to its competitors, and it does not require much drying time. Beyond this, this towel is superior in design with the tether buckle as well as the super versatile carry bag that can both vent and protect from additional moisture. Top it off with an infusion of an antibacterial silver compound, it handily edges out the competition. If you can find one of these towels, be sure to add it to your equipment for any travel.

MSS Intermediate Bag
This sleeping bag is part of the military MSS that incorporates two layers of sleeping bags with an outer goretex bivy. This intermediate bag is warm enough for cool spring and fall camping, but can keep you warm in below freezing temps with the outer patrol bag. The zipper system is super smooth and the ripstop material is comfortable and dries quickly. The snaps that join the outer bag are sturdy and consistent. The bag is a good size for most body sizes and it can easily pack into a stuff sack smaller than the one that it typically uses. It’s not relatively light, but it won’t be the heaviest cold weather bag available. Definitely worth the cost and responsibility for care.

Good all-around pad
This a light and compact sleeping pad that is actually pretty comfortable. To put it into perspective, my son and I are going backpacking in the mountains of New Mexico this summer. It is very important to have a working pad that will not take up a lot of space and add a lot of extra weight. This pad easily satisfies all of those needs and it comes with its own repair kit. It’s worth the money to invest in the separate pump/bag to keep from forcing in lung moisture. Highly recommended mid-grade, mid-cost equipment.
