Too good to built a new one
It is old but good, it is tested, it is assembled. A new one with similar performance would cost me the double so why bother searching for the cheapest? Personally I had spare memory to add and old but working ide hdd's thus a combination like this (at 83 euros incl. shipping) was very tempting.

VFM cpu
A value for money CPU for old laptops. It cost me only 16 euros and it's 30% faster than i3-370M i had on my HP Probook 4520s. Combined with 8 gigs of ram and an SSD i can't tell the difference from modern laptops for office and internet use.
