Thought it would work
Got this item in the mail, and tested it on multiple computers. All the adapter did was turn a little red light on and spin my laptop drives. I tried 4 different working laptop drives, and I tried using it on a desktop hard drive and it didn't do anything with it except with the red light being on.

Great item and even greater value!
Have had one of these for over a year now and it's still holding up like new today so had to buy a couple more, the same quality applies here, they feel very sturdy yet flexible and very easy to clean! The colors are nice and vibrant as well. Would recommend buying these!
