Some good, some bad....

I'm really torn about my review for this product. There are some good things about these pads, but also some not good! Good: Comfortable, can ride with them for a long time, fit is good and they do a pretty decent job staying in place, the top strap helps. The pads themselves will definitely take the brunt of an impact and keep you from getting cut up by rocks and sticks. Good for general XC and moderate single track. Bad: The stitching that holds the pads to the legging is WEAK! I took an easy spill at a slow speed in some thick, sand and loose dirt and the seam tore open about 1 inch, which exposed the pad! Come on Raceface you can do better than that. Raceface wouldn't help me because "it was a crash". Lame. I had to get out my needle and thread and fix the ripped seam myself. Now it's probably stronger than from the factory. Ha! Anyway like I said, some good things, but it sure is a bummer when your gear rips on the very first fall and it wasn't even a big one....
