Kit works perfectly if you make a minor modification.
It assembles very easily and has metal parts replacing more fragile plastic parts - all very good. The actual gear that engages the engine to start it is somewhat imprecisely made. When I first installed the kit and re-fastened the starter to the engine, the starter locked because the gear went up and got stuck up. The teeth of the gear are somewhat imprecisely made. The fix was easy, however. I used a couple washers as shims between the starter and the engine, to keep the gear a tiny bit further out. That worked perfectly and my lawn tractor is starting great.
