Got my laptop working again

My old laptop had a flaky network card always dropped connections. This adapter is low cost and works fine. It’s not the fastest but who cares? Neither is my old machine.

Very decent radio for the price.

I bought this kit not even knowing if it would work at all. Soldering is harder than anything I’ve built before, and it is hard to read some of the markings on the capacitors. The dial needed to be cut to fit properly, and it is not so easy to turn the tuning knob. However, the radio fired up on the first try, and tuned in both AM and FM stations. FM selectivity is far better than AM as the AM section is a very old design. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a cheap unit. It was well worth the purchase price of a little over 5 bucks delivered. Be aware that this kit will take a while to arrive from China. Take your time putting it together, and if you can’t read Chinese (I can read some, but not always enough) check out the English instructions by googling for the model number.
