Yaesu's FT-857D is a GREAT radio
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The best radio of it's size and weight out there for all popular HF bands and VHF/UHF (2m and 70cm), and all modes. It can be used as a mobile radio, or portable and even a base station. One of the best radios in my opinion. Sad that Yaesu discontinued them. I'd love to see them come out with a new model with all the capabilities and more in a modern radio, with the same size or maybe even a little smaller. Technology has improved and I'm sure they could do it.

Great sound, decent video, horrible battery life and features.
The video quality isn't that good and the battery life is horrible, but the sound quality is very good and that's what I bought it for, so I guess it's okay. Good product. Firmware/UI is behind the times in my opinion. You could probably save a lot of power with the ability to turn off the screen, but there's no option to.
