Does not work properly

This unit does not work properly. Both channels seem to suffer from a noisy trimpot or a wire wound trimpot that can’t adjust continuously but has “steps”. When adjusting the output for 1.228 volts it seems to go between 1.3 volts and 1.1 volts. If I get it to 1.2 volts it seems to drift back down to 1.1 volts. If I tap on the case at 1.2 volts it will quickly drop down to 1.1 volts. Also, with an unbalanced input, referenced to ac plug ground, there is a leakage current sneak path that won’t allow the output to go to zero volts. Lastly, it was advertised and pictured as a model 2A, but a model 2 was received.
