Cheap and cheerful so don't expect miracles

Only tried using in extender mode which creates a new secondary Wi-Fi hotspot, I used the default SSID which has "_Ext" appended and the same passphrase. Setup from the supplied instructions was quick and painless. Device becomes active and available quickly too. Was a bit worried at first as it made the source AP drop the wired connection so no Internet access for either network. However moving the device closer seems to have cured this. I would therefore suggest that attempting to boost a medium strength signal instead of a weak one is the best way to use this product. The secondary hotspot works fine with all the devices tried including Windows and Linux laptop, Kindle Fire, mobile phone, Amazon Echo, PS4, except 720p iPlayer on the smart TV which makes it lose the Internet connection after about 20 minutes. (However luckily this isn't a show stopper as the TV can connect to the primary hotspot.) Left the PS4 downloading 40-odd gigabytes overnight and this completed successfully. A satisfied customer here.

Great product for the price

Paperwork supplied gives address Vestel UK so Turkish manufacturer but nothing wrong with that. Image and sound are good as is the viewing angle. I had been worried as the background looked grainy at setup but I could choose warm colours and power save off and backlight settings when watching TV. Some YouTube videos stuttered when playing at 1080p but this may have been the broadband playing up. Also don't like the remote as it's wedge shaped and the arrow keys are small. Only reasons so far it's a four star rating and not five.

Unleash the 90s gamer in you

The original console updated for modern TVs. Short HDMI cable is supplied. And, really, turn off Scan Line Filter (you only need to do this once) in order to make the games visually playable.
