Great CD!
Powerful bass voice - exciting and dramatic.

Superb!
This is in a series of 4 volumes by the same company of Boris Christoff's work. There are also quite a few surprise of repertoire that one would NOT suspect him to sing. Bellini's aria for the bass in La Sonnambula - on one rendition of it - he even throws in the cabaletta for good measure. Well worth the price and for checking it out. There's the excellent DON CARLO / GRAND INQUISITOR scene where he is partnered with the late great GIULIO NERI who sure gives Boris a run for his money.

Highly Recommended and in 2 CDS there's lots of rare material besides the complete Cavalleria Rusticana. All conducted by the composer himself.
