Shame on poor ratings from readers!!! SHAME!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich For the ones who gave this piece of wonderfully written work a low rating is living in a fantasy land!!! As heartbreaking as the detail can be, just know it’s happens! DAILY! I work in mental health with adolescent children and I know that real children experience many, MANY things contained within the text! Just because their reality seems so harsh to you doesn’t mean you should cast an eye opener like this to the side! The colorism black families experience is REAL! A lot of mother DO think their lighter offspring is the BETTER offspring!!! You can be hated simply because you enjoy education while others would rather find a job just to say they have a job! Racism. I’m not even going to go there. This book...this book is simply amazing! Unfortunately, the writer passed while writing the sequel and this is Delores Phillips’ only piece of work.
