Not quite the "Ultimate" collection.
What worked was it was a good set of songs but it was missing some key favorites. Some songs could have been replaced with better ones. Good set. Not great. But good for maybe a medium fan of the M&Ps not hardcore. The Ultimate Anthology is the set for hardcore fans.

The Best of is ALL of...
Yes, the Mamas and the Papas are the BEST there is not a bad track on this album. As a huge M&P fan, Golden Era 1 and it's follow up Golden Era 2, are just small examples why the Mamas and Papas will always be great. The golden pipes of Papa Denny Doherty make it what it is pure gold! A must!!!!!

If you are a M&P fan you will love this.
What a great CD to have in my collection. The packaging is beautiful wonderful liner notes. The music beyond outstanding.Especially when Mr. Doherty had the 2 "Mamas" backing him up in their harmonies you just can't beat it. Love the album. Love the musician. Love the music.
