Good, but not excellent
Written in vernacular language that engages the reader, Knop's book puts an interesting spin on mathematics textbooks. The book is less than excellent because it takes little jumps in linear theory that the author makes in assumption of a student's mathematics knowledge, leaving the student dependent on a lecturer's explanation or the student's genius.
