Five star watch with a 3 star, child's sized watch band.
The watch itself is well made, and beautiful, but the watch band is completely useless. This is a complete failure on Victorinox's part.
To further illustrate the watch bands uselessness, my wrists are 6.75". They are extremely small for a man's wrist, and yet it looked like I had tried to wear a child's watch when I used the factory band. Luckily bands are cheap so I bought a new one. The watch is now a 5 star watch, but buying a new band for a brand new watch is a major failure.
Aesthetically the grey is beautiful neutral finish for daily ware. I'm very impressed with the face. The casing has a plastic like coating over the metal, but it still looks good and seems durable.
For $90 (that's what I paid) it's well worth the hassle of immediately needing an aftermarket band. It's wrist presence is subtle, without shouting "hey look at my watch" but still looks quality.
I hope Victorinox keeps the model or something similar, but addresses the band issue. The face is perfect though. Great layout, and contrast (on the grey one), and much easier to read than I expected from a grey on grey watch.
