Insightful book
This book shows why Jane Jacobs has been such an influential figure in how we understand cities, or at least should understand them. While the urban planning field has absorbed some of her lessons, many don't have the deep and nuanced vision that she does, and some lessons are lost almost completely. This book is an engaging way to learn them and an engaging read which speaks to her talent an observer and a writer.
