Excellent for learning foraging
I will be teaching, hopefully with some other volunteers, a monthly class on safely, ethically and deliciously eating foraged foods that we in the group have collected. I ordered extra copies of this book as it seems very informative in a fairly concise manner, and it's not too expensive.

soft and useful
When I first got this, I thought it was 100% alpaca and thought it was less soft than the alpaca I'm used to. But it is wonderfully useful and still soft.

Exceptional!
Elizabeth Zimmerman's book Knitting Around is, as all of her books exceptional! She doesn't just give patterns, but teaches how to make one's own designs. And her directions are pretty clear.
