Solved a problem for me
I'd bought a fanless mini PC (from China) but its on-board graphics would not drive my Hazro dual-DVI 2560 x 1440 monitor (even with an active display port adaptor - despite what supplier said). So I though I'd give this a try. I needed to do some research to find a power supply that was up to the job of powering the graphics card I chose (an Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 730) which was a 12 V, 5 A power-brick off ebay (the sort you might get for CCTV, etc.) I also added a metal case (also available on ebay from China) for robustness and shielding.
I needed to sacrifice a WiFi card in order to make a mini PCIe slot available and also cut a small hole in the case for the cable but once put together, it all works a treat! I also have the option of upgrading the card to something more meaty if I ever need to.
All in all, it's not as neat (or cheap) as it would have been as if my internal graphics had done the job but better than ditching the monitor or PC!

An absorbing read for the engineering geeks
I bought this after I recently got the Lego Ideas Saturn V kit for my birthday (I was about 11 months old when Armstrong stepped on the moon!) If you're a bit on an engineering geek (and probably only if!) then this is a great book that dives into a lot of technical detail along with a little history. It doesn't cover the lunar lander or the command / service modules either though - just the main three rocket stages, their engines - and some stuff on Skylab. You'll need to buy the other manuals for those...
