Great bokeh, fast autofocus, excellent prime lens

If you can find this around $100 jump on it. This is a great lens that is sharp and due to it's 1.8 f stop, it gives great bokeh effect. The auto focus is fast and accurate. If you are looking for quality and a lens that will exist beyond its warranty period, this is one to get. Many people have purchased the Chinese version of this lens and some have been happy while some have had complaints. Lower price should never be perceived as a good value. If you have to replace it (and there is a good chance that you will, then you will have exceeded the cost of the Canon original. Buy this lens! After all this lens is referred to as the "nifty fifty". It didn't get that name because it was poorly made. It got it due to its versatility, quality and bokeh.

The best accessory you will ever have

This is must have for anyone that takes their Surface on the go. It protects the unit from dings, scratches and absorbs shocks so that when it falls (and mine did on a ceramic floor) there was no damage. The pen holder is an added convenience that is a must have.
