Works good once you get through the installation
Overall, it did not take long to do the complete install. I was happy I did the full upgrade based on issues other PB users were having with just doing the controller upgrade. I did have an issue installing the burn pot. It would not seat flush when I re-installed the screws. At first I thought it was the placement of the screw holding the igniter in place. However, upon further troubleshooting I found it to be that the hole the auger goes through was too low and hitting on top of the auger. Once I ground a little more off the top of the auger hole on the burn pot, it fit much better. I did notice that the temperature gauge on the barrel runs lower than the set temperature. However, when I put a probe on the grate to compare, it was almost dead on with the Pellet Pro controller. I am very happy with it overall. I live in an area that gets a fair amount of wind, and was getting huge temperature swings with the stock controller. The Pellet Pro setup has worked great for this.
